I have spent my career on the inside of this work.

For more than 25 years I have worked in federally funded human services and early childhood systems. Most recently I managed multi-site programs serving thousands of families countywide, which meant living with the same regulations, monitoring cycles, and funding pressures my clients face today.

That experience shaped how I consult. I design monitoring systems that people can sustain, write funding applications grounded in how programs really operate, and approach compliance as a way to protect children and families rather than a box to check. My background spans federal regulatory compliance, grant writing, program design, trauma-informed care, and multilingual community engagement, all held within an equity-centered approach to leadership. I work with a small number of clients at a time, on purpose, so you get my full attention, a clear scope, and a timeline that holds.

Consulting work

Independent consulting, alongside my leadership roles, for more than a decade.

Since before 2014, I have taken on independent, project-based work with early childhood and community-based organizations, supporting them through start-up, redesign, growth, and review. That work has run alongside my full-time leadership roles, and it is the foundation of my practice today.

Program start-up and redesign

Helping organizations open new programs or rebuild existing ones, from service design and staffing structure to the policies and procedures that hold them together.

Licensing and compliance preparation

Preparing programs for licensing, monitoring, and review, with documentation and systems that hold up under scrutiny.

Quality improvement planning

Turning observation and assessment findings into practical improvement plans that staff can carry out.

Operational tools and documentation

Building the workflows, forms, and handbooks that make day-to-day compliance manageable for the people doing the work.

Grant writing and funding applications

Writing and strengthening applications grounded in how programs actually operate.

Trauma-informed and equity-centered leadership

Coaching leaders and teams to build environments where staff, children, and families are supported.
